true vigor, not so easy to find.
Vigor isn’t the absence of tears
or absence of fear
it’s not burying one’s emotions
and certainly not holding back words
or hiding perspectives.
It’s having confidence, courage
not letting fear consume the mind,
it’s showing emotion and being brave
enough to speak up when changes
need to take place.
It’s swallowing pride and refusing to be petty.
Vigor is helping others even in inconvenient times
and showing love to others even when there’s a good
chance they won’t show love in return.
Vigor is knowing that pain is inevitable but excited to live anyway
it is a having the mindset to enjoy life no matter what
it refuses to be complacent; always wants to improve
and always finds an opportunity to show itself.
